Joint Coalition Addressing Needs (JCAN) was proudly recognized with the 2025 Community Service Award by the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) at the Association’s 63rd Independence and Anniversary Celebration. The event was a vibrant gathering filled with cultural performances, music, and community pride.

JCAN President Jacqueline Chen and Executive Director Dr. Claudette Holloway accepted the award on behalf of the organization. They were joined by members of the JCAN Board and participants from the Social Connect for Seniors Program, whose involvement made the evening even more special.

The celebration provided an opportunity to strengthen community connections and honour the contributions of individuals and organizations making a positive impact. Over the years, JCA has been a valued partner, supporting JCAN’s work and collaborating on initiatives that benefit seniors and underserved communities.

In accepting the award, JCAN expressed its gratitude to the Jamaican Canadian Association for the recognition and to the volunteers, seniors, and community members who help bring its mission to life.

This honour underscores JCAN’s ongoing commitment to addressing community needs, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering individuals to lead healthy and connected lives.
