JCAN is a non-profit charitable organization based in Toronto, Canada. JCAN is made up of Canadian healthcare professionals, who are dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of Black and other underserved populations. The mission of JCAN is to empower and improve health outcomes by providing accessible, culturally competent programs, services, and education bursaries for healthcare providers that represent the communities served.
JCAN collaborates with other like-minded organizations to offer a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including educational workshops, conferences, and community outreach initiatives. JCAN also offers bursaries and leadership awards to support the education and career development of nursing students and early-career nurses.
Membership in JCAN is open to healthcare professionals, community partners, and members who support JCAN’s mission.
